I did a bit of travelling when I came back to India, after I was almost 'Cast away' in the southern most island of Maldives with constant fears of being attacked by the American base thats right next to the place. But I survived the first round and I realized I had to travel.
The first trip was a week after I reached Chennai. It was spontaneous. Three of us set out with sleeping bags and rucksacks. We did not book tickets neither did we have a destination in mind but we thought it should be somewhere near the Himalayas. And I really needed to see some peaks covered with snow after a tropical 'holiday'. But one call on the way changed everything and we ended up in Goa a train and a bus later. A couple of days and a lot of interesting people later I realized how tourists have seen more of India than I have. But Goa was pretty expensive and we couldn't make it to the Himalayas.
Ironical how we have time when we don't have the money and how I might have the money when I wont be able to do such things later in life!
The next was a road trip to Pondicherry which is a hundred and fifty kilometres from Chennai. It wasn't much of a ride. I did that one to see if my bike could take it, after everything that its been through.
